We’re making changes to the Content Store which is the database that holds GOV.UK’s content. The current version of the database is reaching the end of its supported life, so we’re moving to a more up-to-date solution.
Our scheduled maintenance on the 4th of December was successful. We need one more window of delayed publishing to complete this work.
Publishing will be delayed between midday and 14:00 on Monday 11th December. Changes can be made and saved this time, but will not go live until the end of the maintenance window.
If we encounter problems that mean we can’t proceed with the maintenance on Monday, we’ll try again on Tuesday 12 December between midday and 14:00. We’ll let you know on Monday if we need to do that.
If you have high priority publishing that must happen during these windows, contact publishing-platform-team@digital.cabinet-office.gov.uk before Monday and we can reschedule the maintenance. If there’s emergency publishing needed on the day, we’ll either roll back the changes or finish them if that will be faster.
If you encounter unexpected technical issues during or after the work, contact GOV.UK support as normal and reference the content store migration.
